Presage Seiko Brand 100th Anniversary Kintaro Hattori Limited Edition. Born of perseverance and hope, the history of the Seiko brand name goes back to the aftermath of the devastating Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923, when K. Hattori & Co., determined to rebuild, released its 1924 first Seiko branded wristwatch. Combining the finest in Japanese mechanical watchmaking with a uniquely Japanese sense of beauty, this extraordinary Limited Edition, available only in a controlled-production run of 1,000, with the serial number and the Seikosha “S” trademarked by Kintaro Hattori engraved on each screwdown caseback, has been inspired by that first timepiece bearing the Seiko logo on its dial. The elegant white enamel dial, crafted by master artisan Mr. Yokosawa, re-creates the original, including the initial Seiko logo, 24-hour subdial, stylized numerals and retro-styled curved blue hands. Reminiscent of vintage designs, the black sustainable leather strap is certified by the Leather Working Group (LWG). The 24-jewel automatic movement beats at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour, with an approximately 72-hour power reserve and manual winding capability. Crafted of stainless steel, with sapphire crystal, this exceptional design signifies both Seiko’s reverence for its past and commitment to continued excellence. Packaged in a special Paulownia wood box incorporating the first logo. 5 bar, 50M Water Resistant
